In Navy, European pillowcases create a defined backdrop across the head of the bed. The depth of the tone allows the square format to read as a continuous plane, anchoring the layers in front.

Fabric & construction
The pillowcase
The Classique pillowcases are cut from 400TC single-ply long-staple cotton sateen and sized at 50 × 75cm for a standard Australian pillow insert, 50 × 90cm for King, and 65 × 65cm for European. A top-stitched flange runs close to the embroidered border on all four sides, adding structure to the perimeter without bulk. The envelope closure sits on the reverse, leaving the front uninterrupted. The pillowcase softens progressively with each wash while holding its shape over time.
The embroidery
Two parallel satin-stitch lines in colourfast navy viscose rayon thread run along all four sides of the front face, meeting at each corner in a defined corner motif. The deep tone reads with clear definition against the white sateen ground on the square euro format, a clean, bordered finish that layers well behind tailored or king pillowcases in the same or contrasting colourway.
Navy frames the square cleanly. Stacked behind tailored pillowcases, the composition reads as complete.

Care
Wash cold or warm
30–40°C on a gentle cycle. Use liquid detergent only as powder detergents and fabric softeners coat the cotton fibres and gradually dull the sateen surface and reduce its natural breathability over time.
Tumble dry medium
Remove while still slightly damp. The sateen surface smooths naturally as the fabric cools, reducing the need for ironing. Avoid over-drying as heat-set creases are harder to remove than those from line drying.
Improves with washing
Long-staple cotton settles into the weave with each wash, becoming progressively smoother and softer over time. The viscose rayon embroidery thread is colourfast and maintains its depth wash after wash.
Common questions
Can I use the Navy Euro with another Classique colourway?
Yes. All Classique colourways use the same white cotton sateen, so the Navy Euro can be mixed with White or another embroidery colour without changing the underlying fabric. Used behind the front pillows, the navy border adds definition at the head of the bed.
Should Euros sit in front of or behind the sleeping pillows?
Behind, standing upright against the bed head with the sleeping pillows lying in front. That order is what gives the head of the bed its height. Euros are a styling layer rather than one to sleep on, so most people lift them off at night.
Will the navy hold its colour through repeated washing?
The embroidery is worked in colourfast viscose rayon selected for repeated laundering. Wash at 30–40°C on a gentle cycle with a mild liquid detergent, and avoid bleach and optical brighteners.
