Description

The Sala Lounge Blanket is knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, framed by a 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib that keeps the edges flat and square. At 220 × 240 cm and 3.1 kg it is generously sized and has real weight to it, without the warmth of wool.

Pumice is a soft, pale stone with warm mineral undertones. Cotton breathes rather than insulates, so the blanket works as a light layer in summer and over a quilt in cooler months. Presented in a Flaxfield gift box.

The knit

Knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, which gives the surface its texture and a little give. A 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib runs around all four sides, so the edges stay flat and the blanket holds its shape rather than curling. At 3.1 kg it has real weight to it, while cotton breathes rather than insulates, so it can be used through the year.

Pumice

A soft, pale stone with warm mineral undertones. It reads as a neutral rather than a colour, and sits easily with white bed linen and natural timber. Dyed with Oeko-Tex certified dyes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a cotton blanket warm enough in winter?
Cotton breathes rather than insulates, so on its own the Sala is a light, warm-weather layer. Over a quilt it adds weight and texture without trapping heat, which suits people who find wool blankets too warm.
How does 220 x 240 cm sit on a bed?
It covers a Queen fully and drapes over both sides, and lies across a King without reaching the floor. Many people use it folded at the foot of the bed rather than as a full cover.
Does Pumice work with white bed linen?
Yes. Pumice is a pale stone with warm mineral undertones, so against white it reads as a soft shadow rather than a contrast. It is the quietest of the five Sala colourways.
