Description

The Sala Lounge Blanket is knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, framed by a 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib that keeps the edges flat and square. At 220 × 240 cm and 3.1 kg it is generously sized and has real weight to it, without the warmth of wool.

Fawn Melange is a warm fawn neutral, softly marled with oatmeal and taupe tones. Cotton breathes rather than insulates, so the blanket works as a light layer in summer and over a quilt in cooler months. Presented in a Flaxfield gift box.

The knit

Knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, which gives the surface its texture and a little give. A 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib runs around all four sides, so the edges stay flat and the blanket holds its shape rather than curling. At 3.1 kg it has real weight to it, while cotton breathes rather than insulates, so it can be used through the year.

Fawn Melange

A warm fawn neutral, softly marled with oatmeal and taupe tones. It is the warmest of the Sala colourways and the easiest with oak, rattan and cream. Dyed with Oeko-Tex certified dyes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a cotton blanket compare with a wool one?
Cotton carries weight without much insulation, so it feels substantial rather than hot. Wool traps more air and is warmer for the same weight. For a layer that works through an Australian summer as well as winter, cotton is the easier choice.
Can it be used all year?
Yes. On its own it is a light layer over a sheet in summer, and over a quilt in winter it adds weight and texture. Because cotton does not insulate the way wool does, it rarely feels too warm.
What interiors does Fawn Melange suit?
It is the warmest of the Sala colourways, softly marled with oatmeal and taupe, so it sits naturally with oak, rattan and cream. Against a cool grey palette it reads as a deliberate warm note.
