Description

The Sala Lounge Blanket is knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, framed by a 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib that keeps the edges flat and square. At 220 × 240 cm and 3.1 kg it is generously sized and has real weight to it, without the warmth of wool.

Charcoal is a deep charcoal grey with a subtle plum undertone that gives the colour added depth. Cotton breathes rather than insulates, so the blanket works as a light layer in summer and over a quilt in cooler months. Presented in a Flaxfield gift box.

The knit

Knitted from 100% cotton in a moss stitch, which gives the surface its texture and a little give. A 3.5 cm smooth band of tight rib runs around all four sides, so the edges stay flat and the blanket holds its shape rather than curling. At 3.1 kg it has real weight to it, while cotton breathes rather than insulates, so it can be used through the year.

Charcoal

A deep charcoal grey with a subtle plum undertone that gives the colour added depth. It is the strongest of the Sala neutrals and holds its own against white bedding. Dyed with Oeko-Tex certified dyes.

Will the edges curl after washing?
The 3.5 cm rib border is there to prevent that. A tight rib is denser than the moss stitch it frames, so it holds the edge flat and keeps the blanket square. Folding it while it is still slightly warm from the dryer helps it settle.
Will the charcoal fade?
The blanket is made for repeated washing, but prolonged sunlight can change the colour, as the care label notes. Dry it out of direct sun and store it away from a sunny window.
Is Charcoal too dark for a light bedroom?
