Flaxfield creates custom-made soft furnishings to exact specifications for interior designers, luxury resorts, boutique hotels and private residences. From concept to delivery, every piece is tailored to your project's requirements.


End-to-end in-house design

With a dedicated team of craftsmen and textile designers, we manage the entire process in-house; patternmaking, digitising, yarn and weave selection, colour development, detailing, packaging and delivery.

We do not source pre-made products. Each item is designed, engineered and crafted exclusively for your brief.

Construction

Meticulous construction and long-lasting finishes. Every seam, stitch and hem is engineered to hold through the demands of commercial laundering and residential use.

Premium natural fibres and considered colour development. We work with long-staple cotton, percale, wool and alpaca or to your specifications.

Dedicated design support for residential and hospitality projects. We work directly with your brief and communicate at every stage from concept to delivery.


Is there a minimum order quantity for custom work?

Minimum quantities vary depending on the product type and materials involved. In some cases, if we are running a production of the same material concurrently, we may be able to add your order to the end of that run, which can reduce minimums significantly. The best starting point is to share what you have in mind and we will advise from there.

How long does a custom order take from brief to delivery?

Typically 12 to 15 weeks from confirmed brief to delivery. This covers design development, material sourcing, production and quality checking. Lead times can vary depending on the complexity of the brief and current production schedules , we will give you a clear timeline at the outset of your project.

How is custom work priced?

Each project is quoted individually based on materials, quantities, construction complexity and lead time requirements. There is no standard price list , we provide a detailed quote following an initial consultation once we understand the scope of your project.

Do you work with private clients as well as trade?

Yes — we work with both interior designers and trade clients as well as private residential clients. Whether you are furnishing a new house or outfitting a boutique hotel, we approach every project with the same level of attention and craft.

Can we see fabric and colour samples before production begins?

Yes. We can provide fabric and colour samples as part of the consultation process before any production commitment is made. Getting the material selection right at the start is essential to a successful outcome and we strongly encourage a sampling stage for all custom projects.

Do you ship custom orders internationally?

Custom orders are currently available to clients based in Australia only. If you are an Australian-based designer or developer working on an international project, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

Once we receive your enquiry, our team will follow up with a consultation call or request additional information about your project, material preferences, quantities, timeline and any reference imagery you have. From there we develop a proposal tailored to your brief.
