Australian bedding sizes follow nationally standardised mattress dimensions. This guide covers exact measurements for all bed linen, quilt covers, pillowcases and towels plus how to measure your mattress for the perfect fit.

All you need.
Measure your mattress before selecting from the size chart. Depth is the dimension most overlooked, particularly with pillow top and premium mattresses where height can vary significantly.
All Flaxfield Linen is proportioned for standard Australian bed dimensions with generous allowances to ensure a smooth, elegant drape and hotel-style finish.
Measure from edge to edge across the top of the mattress in both directions. This determines your bed size whether it's a Queen, King or Super King.
Measure from the base to the highest point of the mattress, including any pillow-top layer or topper. This determines the correct fitted sheet pocket depth — whether it is standard (35 cm) or deep-sided (43 cm). For guidance on fabric quality and thread count, see our Thread Count Guide.
Measure your existing quilt insert length and width to confirm the correct quilt cover size. The quilt cover should fit the insert, not the mattress — see the size chart below.

Our pillowcases and comforters are designed to complement standard Australian pillows, mattresses and quilts, creating a tailored, proportioned look. All dimensions are Flaxfield Linen finished product sizes.
